The Rangers’ recent scoring woes have been well documented, so this is the last thing they needed: Brandon Dubinsky, who leads the team in both goal and assists, will miss three to four weeks with a stress fracture of the fibula in his left leg. (According to John Tortorella, the leg has been bothering him for a while now.) The Rangers won’t make any immediate roster moves and will carry on without Dubinsky (and Ryan Callahan, and Erik Christensen, and Vinny Prospal, and all of their other injured forwards) tonight at the Garden, against Toronto.
