Bobby Valentine has worn many hats (and at least one disguise) in his career: manager, broadcaster, director of public safety. And now he’s looking into taking on a new role: minority stakeholder in the Mets. Says Bobby V to ESPN New York: “I’ve talked to a number of people interested in purchasing part of the New York Mets, but I’m not formally with any group that is actively pursuing this venture.” Needless to say, this is all a long way from becoming a reality. But in the meantime, go ahead and add him to the ever-growing list of potential buyers. [ESPN New York]
