Former Giants running back Tiki Barber alerted the NFL yesterday of his unretirement. Barber, who hasn’t played since the 2006 season, will try and latch on with a team as a free agent for this coming season. Though he spent all of his ten active years as a Giant, the club has made it abundantly clear that they’d prefer he return elsewhere. Pending the transfer of papers and CBA madness, New York’s first roster move will be to release Barber. Why? Well, some people burn bridges; Tiki urinated on this bridge and then dynamited it into oblivion. As Giants blog Big Blue View tells it, Barber did pretty much everything in his power to alienate himself from the Giants and their fans during his retirement and stint as a TV analyst.
Is Tiki “No Need for a” Barber serious?? Can’t wait till he play vs the Giants. They gone hear them Boooo’s all way in LA
Those loud boos? They’re not kidding, y’all. Meanwhile, also via BBV, current Giant Steve Smith has already weighed in on the news:

You’re damn right that’s a baldness joke, and it’s a splendid one. Kind of makes you hope Tiki signs in the NFC, doesn’t it?
