Chauncey Billups — who reinjured his left knee during last night’s playoff opener (the Knicks are describing the injury as a strain) — is officially listed as questionable for Game 2 against the Celtics, but, via the Times, all indications are that Billups won’t play when the Knicks try to even the series tomorrow night in Boston. Billups — who sat out practice today and was walking with a limp — said that he was “disappointed,” adding this is “the worst time” for something like this to happen. Meanwhile, Mike D’Antoni said he was preparing to play Game 2 without Billups. Toney Douglas would start at point guard in his absence, with Anthony Carter serving as Douglas’s backup. [NYT]
