Brad Smith, the multi-purpose threat whom the Jets used in a variey of roles over the past four seasons, has agreed to a four-year, $15 million contract with the Bills. ESPN reports that the Jets didn’t even make an offer to Smith because of salary-cap concerns and the huge offer already on the table for cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha. Smith, however, didn’t want to wait for the Asomugha situation to play out, and so he’ll jump to a division rival. And speaking of division rivals: The Patriots have traded for Albert Haynesworth — of the Haynesworth descriptions compiled by Deadspin, we think our favorite is “sulky mountain” — while the Dolphins have traded for Reggie Bush.
