In Case You Missed It, Jose Reyes’s Day in Brooklyn Went Well

In case you didn’t take Will’s advice this morning and blow off work, hop a train to Coney Island, and take in Jose Reyes’s rehab outing for the Cyclones, we’ll pass along that he led off and played short (obviously), went 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored in six innings, and cleanly fielded the only ball hit to him. And most important, he reported no problems with the left hamstring that’s kept him on the disabled list since July 3. And so if you missed the chance to see him play in Brooklyn, you can plan on seeing him tomorrow night in Queens: Reyes says he’s ready to return to the Mets then. [NYP]
