This Friday’s viewing party — one of several planned for this summer in conjunction with MSG’s re-broadcast of Islanders games from last season — is still happening, but the Islanders have requested that MSG air a different game. So instead of the February 11 game against Pittsburgh (which featured 346 penalty minutes and led to a $100,000 fine for the Islanders organization), MSG Plus will air the Isles’$2 7–6 overtime victory over Buffalo from February 13. Fans who would have preferred to see the ugliness of that game against the Penguins will instead have to stay home, and relive it all on YouTube. [SI]
