Because of this stupid, ugly, poop-face lockout, Iman Shumpert is forbidden from working with the Knicks organization that drafted him June 17. Shump is still honing his game, though, and in lieu of dazzling Knicks management, he’s taken to the kindly Internet. Throughout the summer, we’ve been treated to short homemade videos of Shumpert at work, mostly converting rather stylish dunks. He uploads ‘em himself, then shares via Twitter or, more recently, on his very own Blogspot page. His most recent effort is his perhaps the most exciting, (particularly amid these bleak basketball-less doldrums) as it includes not only a fancy jam, but a number of shooting and dribbling drills. Shumpert’s reported weakness, you might recall, is his outside game, but his form looks decent and his accuracy impeccable in this video offering. I’m also told that there’s some rapping (which will come as no surprise if you’ve seen his “activities” section on Facebook), but can’t confirm that at the moment lest these librarians yell at me for making too much noise. Click through to check it out, and let me know if Iman spits hot fire.
Here it is, via Shumpert’s blog. Overreact as you see fit.
