As we explained last week, we are dealing with the (never going to end) NBA lockout by simulating the Knicks season on NBA2K12 on our PlayStation 3 and posting the results here, as if they were actual games. So! After a weekend split, the fake Knicks hosted the Oklahoma City Thunder last night in one of the hottest Garden tickets all season. It didn’t go well: They got drilled. The final score was 92-86, but it wasn’t that close; the Knicks were down twenty points going into the fourth quarter, and Video Scott Brooks decided to sit Kevin Durant the rest of the game. (To show how weird the fourth quarter was, Derrick Brown scored thirteen points.) The Knicks “play” again tonight in Atlanta against the Hawks. Look for the recap tomorrow. They’re 2-2 on the season so far. Here’s a short video from the Thunder game, shot poorly off our television by our iPhone.
