As previously established, we are dealing with the (never going to end) NBA lockout by simulating the Knicks season on NBA2K12 on our PlayStation 3 and posting the results here, as if they were actual games. So! The Knicks played their third game without Carmelo Anthony in the lineup … and they lost their third game without Carmelo Anthony in the lineup. (He still has at least three weeks out, too.) This time, it was to our old pals in Denver, 86-84. Wilson Chandler led the Nuggets with 22 points, and the Knicks had only two players in double figures: Amar’e Stoudemire with 39 and Derrick Brown with 12. Bad news for Brown (who had been starting in Anthony’s place): He will miss 1–2 weeks with a lower-back strain. The Knicks were two-of-eighteen from three-point range. Suffice it to say: Carmelo needs to heal fast. The Fake Knicks are now 3-5 on the season and face Kobe Bryant and the Lakers tonight at Staples Center.
As always, here’s a short video from the Nuggets game, shot poorly off our television by our iPhone.
