Hey, look, it’s a story about Baron Davis that doesn’t have to do with when he’ll make his Knicks debut. (If you insist, you can read one of those here.) Instead, ESPN brings us a short piece about Davis’s interest in acting — one that begins with Davis being starstruck by Betty White while filming a scene for the show Hot in Cleveland last fall. There’s more, too: Davis has been offered enough roles that he’s hired an acting coach; he’ll be playing a gym teacher in an upcoming Adam Sandler movie; and he’ll be shopping a self-produced pilot for a TV project called I Love Boom. ESPN says it’s “a reality-based sitcom that Davis describes as ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm meets Entourage,’ about the off-court life of an NBA player (Davis, playing himself).” Says Davis: “It’s an offbeat look at a player’s typical day off, when he goes to doctor’s appointments and always says the wrong things.” [Page 2/ESPN]
