A.J. Burnett remains a Yankee at this hour, but here’s what’s been going on since yesterday: Jon Heyman reported that the Yankees and Indians had discussed a trade involving Burnett and Travis Hafner, but Bryan Hoch says that deal is “no longer on the table.” Ken Rosenthal, meanwhile, reports that the Angels are interested in Burnett, but that they’re on the righty’s no-trade list and that he’d like to stay east. And finally, ESPN New York reports while that there are indications that the Yankees are “pressuring Pittsburgh to sweeten its offer,” there’s optimism that the deal will still be completed. (One of their sources called the deal “imminent,” while another said it was “50/50.”) Yankees pitchers and catchers report on Sunday.
