The first round of the NCAA Tournament is roughly 65 percent over … and there have been exactly three games that weren’t chalk. And the lowest seeded team to win, No. 12 VCU, beat fellow mid-major Wichita State in a game that felt equally matched from the minute it was announced. We had another near-upset this afternoon, with No. 14 seed St. Bonaventure giving No. 3 seed Florida State a legitimate scare, but it was, once again, just another close call. Tonight, you get the chance to cheer against Duke, but the real fun one comes at 9:20, when No. 1 seed Michigan State battles our own beloved No. 16 seed LIU Brooklyn. Go! Blackbirds!
