Josh Hamilton #10 of the Texas Rangers hits a home run in the eighth inning during a baseball game against the Baltimore Orioles at Oriole Park at Camden Yards on May 8, 2012 in Baltimore, Maryland.
He was somewhat hot last night.

Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton — the phenom turned drug addict turned superstar whom you might remember lighting up the old Yankee Stadium sky at the 2008 All-Star Game — went crazy last night, blasting four homers in a 10–3 win over the Baltimore Orioles. (He actually went 5-for-5; in his other at-bat, he doubled, the lazy ass.) This made Hamilton the 16th man in baseball history to hit four homers in a game, and the first since Carlos Delgado in September 2003. As You Can’t Predict Ball points out, this is the first season in baseball history to feature a four-homer game and a perfect game, and it is currently May 9. And hey, we even have a local angle. The last three men to hit four homers in a game — Mike Cameron for Seattle in 2002, Shawn Green for Los Angeles in 2002, and Delgado for Toronto in 2003 — all ended up playing for the Mets within four years of their achievement. Hey, Hamilton is a free agent after this season …
