The righty matched a career high with fourteen strikeouts in Detroit’s 7-2 win over the Yankees last night, allowing two runs and throwing a whopping 132 pitches over eight innings of work. (The best was Felix Hernandez’s complete-game two-hit shutout from over the weekend.) Still, though, not a bad effort from the defending AL MVP.
