So we hope you didn’t go to a sports bar to watch the USA men’s soccer team play Jamaica — the only way you could watch the match unless you have Dish Network or could find a reliable pirate stream — because it was pretty miserable. The U.S. scored a minute into the match and then sort of loafed the rest of the way, ultimately suffering a shocking 2-1 loss. Well, USMNT plays Jamaica again tonight, and suffice it to say, it is highly recommended that they win. Only two teams advance from each CONCACAF World Cup qualifying group, and right now, the U.S. is tied for second in Group A with Guatemala, whom they tied back in June. (Guatemala plays Antigua and Barbuda, the only team in the group that hasn’t won yet, tonight.) Next month will be the group’s final matches, and, needless to say, if the U.S. didn’t even qualify for the chance to qualify for the World Cup, it would be a disaster. So, they should probably try to win tonight. Match starts at 8 p.m. in Columbus, Ohio, and you can watch it on ESPN2.
USMNT Desperately Needs a Win Tonight
C’mon boys.
