The NHL lockout has been in effect for more than three months now, and so, with no actual games to report on, we’re going to link to a different hockey video every day until a new CBA is reached. Today: the Russian president, taking part in an exhibition after his inauguration in May.
Russian president Vladimir Putin made some news this week, but we’ll leave that story to our colleagues over at Daily Intelligencer. Instead, here’s a video of Putin taking part in an exhibition hockey game after his inauguration in May. Putin scored a goal during the game and — spoiler alert — added another in the shoot-out. Note the less-than-extraordinary effort by the opposing goalie during said shoot-out.
Today is Day 104 of the NHL lockout. The league reportedly made a new proposal yesterday with the hopes of restarting negotiations, so that’s something, we guess.
