lockouts suck

Random Hockey Video of the Day, Holiday Edition: The Rangers Sing Their Favorite Christmas Songs

The NHL lockout has been in effect for more than three months now, and so, with no actual games to report on, we’re going to link to a different hockey video every day until a new CBA is reached. And because we like to keep things festive, through Christmas, said hockey videos will all be holiday-themed. Today: Brad Richards sings! Sort of!

Last year, MSG Network asked some of the Rangers what their favorite Christmas song was. More important, they asked them to sing — or, you know, attempt to sing — their choice. Some highlights from the video below: Derek Stepan’s interpretation of “Jingle Bells” (which may or may not actually be an interpretation of “Jingle Bell Rock”); Mark Staal forgetting the lyrics to “Silent Night,” four words in; and Brad Richards mailing in his “performance” of “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town.”

And so, on Day 100 (ugh) of the NHL lockout, hear what “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” sounds like in French.
