Design Porn, Half Off
The MoMA Design Store is holding a rare sale on books for the next few weeks, cutting more than 50 percent off prices of 1,200 art and design titles. This is an excellent opportunity to take home an armful of design porn (some of it out-of-print or difficult to find), including seminal works on Jean Prouvé, Renzo Piano, and Robert A.M. Stern (MoMA Design Store, 81 Spring St., at Broadway; MoMA Design and Book Store, 11 W. 53rd St., nr. Sixth Ave.; 212-767-1050; through 2/15).

A Rock Photog’s Arty Side
Best known for his cover photography for Rolling Stone, GQ, and Vanity Fair, Mark Seliger is exhibiting some quieter fare this week at Chelsea’s Steven Kasher Gallery. The show, titled “Listen,” features a set of 30 nudes, still lifes, and New York cityscapes, all shot in black-and-white and culled from his recent book of the same name. The photographer will be on hand at tomorrow night’s opening from 6 to 8 p.m. to sign book copies (521 W. 23rd St., nr. Tenth Ave.; 212-966-3978; through 2/26).
