The design experts at Roland Antiques specialize in period antiques and traditional furnishings as well as fine art. Luxurious furniture and fixtures cover practically every square inch of their tiny auction house (80 E. 11th St., nr. Broadway; 212-260-2000; www.rolandsantiques.com). Their current featured auction boast pieces from the home of the legendary queen of Palm Beach Society, beloved philanthropist Dame Celia Lipton Farris. Dame Celia was a British film star of the forties who married Victor Farris, the American inventor of the milk carton and paper clip. Dame Celia and Farris’s Hollywood-decadent estate will be auctioned off on March 17. Here, Dame Celia at her Palm Beach home. Photo: Catie Keck
