Ward Churchill, the University of Colorado professor who was fired not long after a controversial essay of his in which he called the World Trade Center financial workers who died in 9/11 “little Eichmanns” gained widespread attention, won his wrongful-termination case yesterday. A jury ruled that Churchill was dismissed for his political views a victory for his First Amendment rights, but not for his wallet. He was awarded $1 in damages. [NYT]
