Hillary Clinton Has Not Read a Book or Watched a Movie in the Last 100 Days

From a story about Hillary Clinton’s first three intense months as secretary of State, just posted to the Times website:

At 11 p.m. last Saturday, after 13 hours of meetings in Baghdad, Mrs. Clinton’s aides dozed on the military transport plane flying back to Kuwait. She sat alone at the front of the plane’s dimly-lighted cargo bay, squinting as she plowed through a pile of briefing papers. “I lug them everywhere,” Mrs. Clinton said, noting that she had not had time to watch a movie or read a book in the last 100 days.

This is why, for better or for worse, you hire a wonkish workaholic as your secretary of State. It also might be why Obama keeps giving foreign leaders DVDs and video iPods for presents.
