Though he seems to be relishing the spotlight for now (he says he’s become the “overnight spokesman for a silent majority”), Long Island congressman Peter King may live to regret the day he dared defame the good name of Michael Jackson. One enraged Jackson fan has set up a page on the liberal political-activism website ActBlue to collect donations for any Democrat who eventually decides to challenge King, presumably on a pro-Jackson platform. It’s already managed to raise over $2,000 from the heretofore-unmobilized legions of Jackson followers, who are now destined to become an unstoppable force on the national political scene. [HuffPo]
