Following a state legislature leadership meeting, Assembly Speaker for Life Sheldon Silver told reporters that “Right now I support [Paterson] for governor, yes.” Democratic conference leader John Sampson expressed similar levels of qualified loyalty: “We’re behind him 150% until otherwise known.” [Daily Politics/NYDN]
