The former CNN anchor told radio WTOP this morning that a run for president in 2012 isn’t a “crazy” idea, and that a future in politics is something he’s been discussing. First, though, he’s trying to smooth things over with various entities he has angered over the years, like Latino groups who didn’t appreciate his discredited claims that “about a third of the prison population in this country is estimated to be illegal aliens” or that illegal immigrants were responsible for an outbreak of leprosy.
