It’s one of the immutable laws of the universe: Joe Biden can only speak off-the-cuff for approximately eight minutes before saying something embarrassing. This law was upheld once again when Biden went on Larry King Live last night and basically tried to give the Obama administration credit for America’s successes in Iraq.
I am very optimistic about about Iraq. I mean, this could be one of the great achievements of this administration. You’re going to see 90,000 American troops come marching home by the end of the summer. You’re going to see a stable government in Iraq that is actually moving toward a representative government.
Great job, Obama administration! The way you came into office months after the security situation in Iraq had already vastly improved, and announced a withdrawal made possible by the decisions of the Bush administration the very decisions you derided throughout your campaign is truly one of your greatest achievements!
