Mitt Romney edged out Ron Paul by one vote last night to win the 2012 Southern Republican Leadership Conference straw poll. Romney, who didn’t even bother showing up at the conference, received 439 votes to Paul’s 438 votes. Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich each received 18 percent of the vote, tying for third place. [CNN]
