A small craft carrying nine people, including former Alaska senator Ted Stevens and former NASA administrator Sean O’Keefe, crashed today in Southwestern Alaska. While it was originally unclear whether the two were among the five passengers found dead, CNN is now reporting that Stevens was among those killed. The former senator had previously survived a catastrophe in 1978 at Anchorage International Airport that killed his wife and several others. [AP]
