Federal lawyers are suing the Fox News Network over allegations that it retaliated against a female reporter after she claimed she was receiving unequal pay and job conditions due to her gender and age. Reporter Catherine Herridge filed an internal complaint against the network in 2007, which was dismissed by Fox News, though they then included language in her new employment contract that the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission says was meant to restrict her from making any more complaints. Herridge refused to sign the contract, and now the EEOC is seeking unspecified damages and a court order preventing the network from “retaliating” against other employees.
