If you ever watch C-Span and who doesn’t, right? you’ve become accustomed to basically one boring camera angle, which is a head-on shot of whomever is speaking at the podium. That’s all the House allows C-Span to do. Though new Speaker of the House John Boehner has decided to grant the media greater access to the House in some ways by allowing “correspondents to report live from inside the House chamber for special events and high-profile debates,” for example he’s turned down C-Span’s request to add a couple of extra cameras in the House chamber to pick up reaction shots, many of which would presumably catch him tearing up about God knows what.
