RadarOnline says it has confirmation that Apple co-founder Steve Jobs is receiving treatment at the Stanford Cancer Center in Palo Alto, California, the same place where Patrick Swayze sought chemotherapy for pancreatic cancer. Photographs of the “skeletal-looking” 55-year-old CEO were taken outside the clinic. In one, Jobs, who has been intimately involved in Apple’s two recent developments (a mini iPhone and new subscription plan), was getting out of his car a day after he was spotted putting in a full day of work at the company’s Cupertino campus. Jobs was not forthcoming about the reason he took a medical leave of absence and handed over his day-to-day operations in January. Jobs has previously withheld information on his health, such as when he was treated for a form of pancreatic cancer in 2004 and underwent a liver transplant in 2009, something that worries Apple investors who feel the company’s future rests in his visionary leadership. Jobs is going ahead with plans to build an $8 million home following a battle with preservationists. But the National Enquirer, who broke the news, talked to critical-care physician Dr. Samuel Jacobson, who said, “Judging from the photos, he is close to terminal.
