A man was tackled by police at the corner of Church Street and Vesey Street earlier today as President Obama’s motorcade passed by after leaving ground zero. According to the Daily News, he had been “walking his bike toward the World Trade Center, saying ‘Secret Service, Secret Service coming through,’” while the Star-Ledger reports that bystanders say the man, who appeared to be in his twenties, “may have pulled a gun out of a backpack.” More details as they come.
