As expected, the Senate proved to be the end of the line for Speaker John Boehner’s debt bill. After passing the House only by the orange-ish skin of its teeth (218 to 210, with 22 Republicans against it and zero Democrats for it), the bill was quickly tabled by the members of the upper chamber.
And that’s even after so much shouting. While Boehner’s doing his best to cry only in the company of fellow conservatives these days, his emotions still managed to bubble up out of his body and onto the Congressional floor.
