The very selective Cooper Union, which was founded on the idea that a free college education should be available to working stiffs, may now begin charging tuition fees to undergrads. It’s unclear what the pricing structure would be, but according to the school’s new president, “We have to find new, robust revenue streams, and we have to do that quickly.” So, a bake sale probably won’t work?
