Two cops will be given command disciplines and could lose vacation time, while a third was reprimanded, for botching an encounter at the West Indian Day Parade, where City Councilman Jumaane Williams and Kirsten John Foy, a city official, were handcuffed forcefully based, they say, on race. A police union president had another take: “It is wrong that all these officers will now face discipline to appease some political purpose,” he said. “Again, they were only doing their job.” Thousands disagree, presumably.
