Apple’s 23,000-square-foot iStore at Grand Central Terminal, which will cost the company $180 per square foot under the ten-year lease agreement with the MTA, opens to the public this Friday, December 9. With the opening of the store at the transportation hub, MTA promises increased foot traffic to nearby businesses, which in turn guarantees more frustration for pedestrians at already-crowded intersections near the terminal.
