Crime may be down in the city, but the capture of a wolf-dog hybrid in Brooklyn this week is unlikely to help calm those over-worried loved ones who warn New Yorkers to be careful out on the streets. The New York Post reports that the three-year-old female was wearing a collar when she was caught, though no one has contacted New York Animal Care and Control to claim her – not particularly surprising since it is illegal to own this kind of animal in the city.
