Thirty-Two Percent of NYC’s Jews Are Orthodox

And that number goes up to 64 percent for Jewish children in the metropolitan area, according to a new study by the UJA Federation of New York. The Jewish population in general is growing here, with more than 1.5 million members of the tribe in the eight counties surrounding the city.
