Longtime New Republic editor Michael Kinsley is going back to the little magazine that could now that it definitely can. “It’s got money now,” Kinsley told the Huffington Post, in reference to the old publication’s “very nice,” “excited,” and “rich” new owner Chris Hughes. “It’s got very intelligent money.” Kinsley, also the founding editor of Slate and a recent New York contributor, will begin working for the young Facebook millionaire and his former employee Franklin Foer, who was also lured back by Hughes, as an editor-at-large beginning in January and will depart his current post at Bloomberg View in March.
