Last December, Mayor Bloomberg declared that life expectancy in New York had hit an all-time high of 80.6 years. This morning in Long Island City, Bloomberg announced that last year’s record has been surpassed: A child born in New York in 2010 will live for an estimated 80.9 years, which means the average baby will die sometime during President Xanu iClinton’s second holo-term.
