We won’t know all the envy-inducing details until Monday, but New Jersey Lottery officials have announced that the winning ticket for Saturday’s massive Powerball jackpot — the sixth largest in history — was purchased in the Garden State. Even after taxes, the lump sum payment would come out to $221 million, which would buy a lot of spray tans, shore houses, politician bribes, and other Jersey clichés.
