After being found guilty of first-degree murder in the deaths of three babies, whom the AP reported he killed with scissors after they were born (he was acquitted of a fourth murder charge), Philadelphia abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell was spared the death sentence, due to the fact that his “advanced age had made it unlikely he would ever be executed before his appeals ran out.” Now that the 72-year-old has waived his appeal rights, however, the prosecution approved him facing two life sentences without parole, which should be enough to appease pro-lifers for now.
