Of all the fruits to be buried alive under, pineapples, with their spikey skins and pointy leaves, have got to be the worst (after durian, of course). So it’s pretty incredible that a Jersey City warehouse worker who had 1,500 pounds of them fall on him didn’t lose consciousness. He wound up in the hospital in stable condition and, probably, a huge thirst for rum.
