Pope Francis kept up his relatively progressive image by blessing thousands of Harley-Davidsons and their owners on Sunday. The motorcycle Mass was part of a the company’s four-day 110th birthday celebration, which brought tens of thousands of international bikers to the Vatican (and happened to overlap with an unrelated two-day pro-life rally, which also attracted crowds in the tens of thousands.) Francis and the Vatican police force also received two classic Harleys as gifts. The bikes are white, so as to match the rest of the pontiff’s wardrobe.
