Taxi medallions continue to perform as one of the smartest investments around, as a pair just sold at auction for more than $2.5 million, going for $1.26 million each, just two years after they first hit the million-dollar mark. The most recent sale was for two handicapped-accessible vehicles, which are especially sought-after. So is there a medallion bubble? Maybe, but it hasn’t burst yet.
