Rob Ford Wears Old NFL Tie to Crack Conference

TORONTO, ON - NOVEMBER 5: Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, backed by brother Councillor Doug Ford (left) on November 5, 2013, speaks to the media following this morning's admission of having smoked crack. Ford did not step down, and said that city business must go on.

Cementing his oafish, American sensibility, Rob Ford further embarrassed the great nation of Canada today while wearing the most garishly un-Canadian tie imaginable. Yes, that is a collage of NFL team logos — but from some fifteen years ago, as the Oilers were last called that in 1998, while those Denver Broncos and Tampa Bay Buccaneers emblems have since been phased out. (Not the Redskins, though; that one, like Ford’s mayorship, still exists for now!)

A similar necktie is currently available on eBay, made from 100 percent imported silk.
