Following the bloodshed at the Village Voice earlier this year, the paper on Thursday laid off longtime writer Graham Rayman, whose series “The NYPD Tapes” followed NYPD whistle-blower Adrian Schoolcraft and won awards, got picked up by This American Life, and spawned a Law and Order: SVU episode. Capital New York points out that Rayman was the last Voice writer with years at the paper, as the editorial staff is now mostly made up of journalists brought from elsewhere in the Voice empire. Looks like that masthead needs even more editing.
