Thanksgiving can be a fraught time, especially if there’s tension about who you’re spending it with. So stories of unhinged friends and relatives aren’t totally uncommon around this time of year. But a New Jersey man who brandished a machete at a group who did not invite him to their celebration took things to the extreme. Fortunately, he didn’t make good on his threats, but police in New Milford still charged Joseph Hoo with unlawful weapons possession, terroristic threats, and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, because damn.
