New York City drivers are being warned to watch out for black ice during Wednesday morning’s commute and an incident on Tuesday night underscores the importance of exercising caution. ABC New York reports that at least 32 cars were involved in a crash on the Gowanus Expressway in Brooklyn around 8:20 p.m. Officials wouldn’t give an official cause of the crash, but one driver involved in the accident said, “The road was just completely ice. Literally ice, like a skating rink.” Nine people were hurt, but thankfully their injuries weren’t life threatening.
