To commemorate the one-year anniversary of the Newtown murders, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America and Michael Bloomberg’s Mayors Against Illegal Guns have collaborated on the release of “No More Silence,” an ad featuring haunting allusions to Sandy Hook. A clock shows 9:35 a.m., the time Adam Lanza entered the building, and calls for a moment of silence for Newtown on December 14. “But with 26 more school shootings since that day,” the voice-over says, “ask yourself, Is silence really what America needs right now?” The clip is scheduled to air on cable news over the coming days.
